May begins with a powerful Full Moon in tropical Scorpio. There is immense depth, emotion, and passionate energy at the peak of this lunation cycle, which can bring a lot to the surface to process over the few days surrounding it.
Firstly, the “shadow side” of this Full Moon is undeniable in its square to modern ruler Pluto. Mars (the Full Moon’s classical ruler) is still transiting through Aries but now free of the Saturn-Neptune slog. That means there is a powerful reserve of assertive (and volatile) energy being released here, more directed and intentional.
If you’ve been working hard behind the scenes, or keeping a strong desire hidden, repressed, or secret, something about this Full Moon brings much of it into the open. Yet with Pluto, we are always dealing with a blind spot, a hidden factor that can be uncomfortable or at least unpleasant to face.
