June’s Full Moon in tropical Capricorn occurs alongside dynamic alignments (and near alignments) of Mercury-Jupiter, Mars-Uranus, and a Neptune-Saturn t-square with the Full Moon itself. Mercury also stations retrograde several hours prior to the Full Moon culmination, which, alongside Mars-Uranus adds some additional instability and sudden plot twists that can make this Full Moon far less stabilizing than Capricorn would prefer.

With the Capricorn archetype and its ruler, Saturn (via its square) coming into the lunation picture, some tangible results are coming in here, especially where we’ve been consistently plotting along with some project, goal, or ambition. Capricorn, in its more ideal manifestation, brings us into contact with the embodiment of a higher potential or social role, and something may be culminating here that we can more fully grasp or actualize.

The other side of these archetypes brings the heavy weight of some increased responsibility or pressure, so burnout or overwhelm are possible when the reality of what we’ve been striving for comes in strong. And also, where there’s been a neglect of certain commitments, the harder side of Saturn-Capricorn makes us feel the consequences a little more.

Yet, ironically, there’s some auspicious serendipity here via Mercury’s near conjunction with Jupiter and the start of its three-week backtrack through Cancer. Things can feel a bit extra with increased communication, a flood of ideas, more to do, and much to finalize. A brief glimpse of/or a close call with a prized reward/opportunity can be a source of excitement.

With the influx of extra data points and stimulation, a lot can get missed or glitch, so practice extra patience with this Full Moon and take detours when needed. The paradox of this lunation picture lies in the stabilization of some structures and strategies, while elsewhere things seem to be unraveling or being redirected. This feels like the commencement of an important revisionary period that can significantly deepen our connection to what we’re passionate about and focused on.
